best of ’10
Looks like we've made it through another year at the office....time to nerd out, here's my fav songs of the year.
1. The Avett Brothers - Laundry Room - A technical 2009 release; it was tough to pick just one song from this album. Laundry Room has some amazing lyrics (tonight I'll burn the lyrics, cuz every chorus was your name), and a ho-down ending that just barely edged ahead of I and Love and You.
2. The Gaslight Anthem - Bring it On - Another great album full of dandies. I had a new favourite song from this album almost every week, but this one was the first.
3. Gorillaz - On Melancholy Hill - A perfect spacey dance beat.
4. Aloe Blacc - Femme Fatale - I was always a huge Velvet Underground fan, but never really liked this song. Well done Aloe.
5 . The Black Keys - Everlasting Light - Another song from an album packed with great songs, I could've picked any of them.
Feb Jammin
We made it to Feb, and this gd winter looks like it might be softening up. Here's some songs I've been listening to lately. Pi's Feb '10:
line of the year race
It's only 6 days into the new year and Trav has already got a solid hold on the 2010 Line of the Year award. This is definitely an attempt to de-crown Howdy after 2009's surprising upset.

Xmas is over, NYE is just on the horizon. OBVS is back in biz, 2010 hosers!
